Prices are $150.00 for one half credit. After April 30th, the price increases to $175.00. Courses are open to students who reside outside of the JPS District for an additional 5% fee.
Each one-semester class is a half credit. Students may take a classroom instruction and an online class at the same time, but can enroll in only one credit during summer school.
Classes are determined based on the number of students enrolled and teacher availability.
First-time credit students must enroll in both semesters of English 12, Spanish I, Spanish II, Geometry, US History and World History. In addition, both semesters are either classroom instructionr OR online, but not one of each.
All classroom instruction courses are held at the Freshman Academy from 8:00am to 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. First semester/session and second semester/session will be determined. No classes on July 4th.
Students may not be absent more than 10 hours of class.
First-time credit courses include: English 12, Spanish I, Spanish II, Geometry, U.S. Government, OK History, U.S. History, World History and Financial Literacy.
Make-up credit courses include: English 9, 10, 11 and 12, Algebra I and II, Geometry, U.S. Government, OK History, U.S. History, World History and Biology.
Online students begin with an orientation on TBD at the Freshman Academy. Alternate orientation will be held TBD. All coursework and final tests must be completed by TBD.
Optional classroom instruction for online students who need assistance will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm at the Freshman Academy.
Online quizzes and tests are taken at home online while finals will be given on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the classroom as scheduled by the instructor.
Online courses do not count for NCAA eligibility (college athletics) except for Financial Literacy.
